BEAVER FALLS, Pa.-- The first-place Pittsburgh River Monsters will host Western Division rival Toledo Mobsters on Saturday night, February 24, at Brady’s Run Ice Arena.

The Monsters are coming off of two close, high-scoring games on the road last weekend, losing 5-4 to the Western Michigan Sentinels and a 7-6 defeat to the Hudson Valley Vipers in a shootout.

Toledo has played one game this season, losing 8-1 in Niagara Falls on Feb. 10, and is currently fifth in the Western Division.

The River Monsters last had a home game on Jan. 21, so the team feels refreshed to return to Beaver Falls.

Joe Ditulio had three assists against Western Michigan, and he shares his excitement to be back home against Toledo.

“We’ve kind of been on the road a lot, so I'm just kind of excited to be back in front of the fan base,” Ditulio said. “Not having to drive seven hours to go play hockey. We don't know much about Toledo yet, so we treat them as any other serious threat. We have to come prepared and not take them lightly.

“The fans are awesome here. I wasn't expecting to be recounted and get 200, 300 people out at night, so it's pretty cool to see, and I’m excited to see them again.”

Ditulio has a team-high 11 assists, tied with captain Kurt Schmidt.
