Red-Hot River Monsters Travel to Toledo Saturday

TOLEDO, Oh.-- The Pittsburgh River Monsters have scored in bunches in the last two games.

Last weekend, Pittsburgh put an eight-spot on the scoresheet over the Soo Nordiques. Two weeks ago, the River Monsters demolished the Toledo Mobsters 6-1.

The River Monsters will attempt to take care of business once again against the same Mobsters team they defeated a fortnight ago.

The key to the team's recent success has been a lineup shift. Multiple lines were moved around to balance each forward and defensive matchup, which was working.

"[We've been] changing the lineup here and there," Jordan Huffman said. "We [as a line] played together at the beginning of the year, and then we got taken off a line, but tonight we looked really good out there."

"It'll be good to have one good line, but if we can even them all out, like tonight, and put a different combination out, it might work out like tonight."

Huffman and the Monsters put up 49 shots on goal in Saturday's win over the Nordiques, contributing to Pittsburgh's success.

With more shots on goal on a more balanced lineup sheet, the River Monsters will look to fuel the fire as one of the hottest teams in the APHL come Saturday.
